What is Medical Imaging Techniques Program? Why Should I Study?
Medical imaging technicians serve in units such as direct film, computed tomography, magnetic resonance, mammography, ultrasonography, etc., which are requested for the diagnosis of the disease, or in the preparation and application of the devices of patients receiving radiation therapy and in various units of the nuclear medicine department. The program trains medical imaging technicians, who can use high-tech imaging systems (Conventional and Digital Radiology, Fluoroscopy, Digital Subtraction Angiography, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging etc.) for diagnosis and treatment in the light of basic medical and radiology knowledge acquired during their training and hospital applications, who have the technical proficiency to apply the developing technology in the field, who have the ability to synthesize information, who use eye and hand coordination comfortably, who have the experience of interpreting and applying the knowledge of radiation protection while performing these operations for the sake of own and patient’s health and who has coordination skills with the physician.
