From Our President

After admitting its first students in 2005 with five associate degree programs, thus starting out on its long and bright educational course, our vocational school became a prominent component of our university in 2017. Today, it proudly continues its mission to raise the high-quality workforce needed by the business world with the primary goal of raising students who are able to contribute to “the sustainable growth policy of our country, equipped with high awareness of the social issues and social responsibility, and prioritizing professional ethics, as well-respected and highly qualified professionals.”

Our vocational school, which holds a unique place in applied vocational education circles, ran 28 programs in total in the 2019–2020 academic year, with seventeen in the health field, four in aviation, three in social services and law, and four in special Cappadocia programs. We are in the service of our students in four campuses in two different cities, with health programs run on the Nevşehir-Ürgüp campus, and our aviation programs on Sabiha Gökçen, İstanbul, and Nevşehir, Mustafapaşa campuses. Furthermore, our culinary program, as one of the special Cappadocia programs, has its practical application kitchens on the Nevşehir, Uçhisar campus.

In order to render the knowledge obtained by our students permanent, we provide applied education in our laboratories and workshops in all programs, including those devoted to health and aviation, while also providing applied vocational education in real workplaces in different sectors. In some of these courses, our students have the chance to practice under the guidance of prominent representatives of the particular sector for the entire semester. We frequently update our curriculum in line with advances in theoretical and practical knowledge and in parallel with developments in the respective sectors. Moreover, as the only school to be authorized by the Civil Aviation General Management[CS1] , the opportunities that are open to our students are without match. We are the best example of university-private sector cooperation in Turkey thanks to the applied education and employment agreements we have signed with 263 different institutions, and are happy and proud to be able to provide our students with the best start to their careers as soon as they graduate.
