MA in Speech and Language Therapy (Thesis and Non-Thesis)
Speech and Language Therapy is a health field that has been developing since the early 2000s. In Turkey, the first undergraduate program in this field was opened in 2012 to train expert therapists and equipped academicians. Speech and Language therapists treat individuals of all ages who have speech, language and communication problems and have difficulties in swallowing, drinking and eating. Disorders such as late speech, stuttering, voice and speech disorders in children are among the working areas of language and speech therapists.
Cappadocia University Speech and Language Therapy Graduate Program aims to contribute to public health through interdisciplinary R&D activities carried out together with the departments of Audiology, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Child Development.
Our laboratories are used for the practice training of our graduate students. We have six therapy and observation rooms (each room has a single person capacity), a language and speech basic training laboratory and a speech disorders laboratory (for acoustic, aerodynamic, resonance, and swallowing tests).
Cappadocia University Speech and Language Therapy graduate curriculum aims to develop students' research skills and their professional specialization. In addition to theoretical courses, students are provided with advanced clinical practice courses, and they are provided with theoretical and practical knowledge in their field.
Graduates of the Program are awarded the title of “Expert Speech and Language Therapist”.
