MA in International Relations (Thesis)
International Relations Graduate Program provides advanced analysis of the relations between various actors that constitute the international system and the dynamics that dominate their individual and common behaviors. The program analyzes many subjects from the reactions of the states to the international problems, the structure of the international system, the world politics, the cultural interactions, the political and social consequences of global economic and commercial relations at academic level, within the framework of the knowledge of advanced politics and international relations theories.
Our program aims to train international relations experts who have a deep knowledge on traditional and new theories and regional features. Students focus on the changing global dynamics and political-economic balances and are open to continuous development. They have skills of critical thinking and focus on academic publishing and discussions.
The curriculum includes courses such as Research Methods and Publication Ethics, Advanced International Relations Theories and Seminar courses, as well as specialization courses such as China and the Far East, Current Problems in Africa, European Union Policies, Central Asia and the Caucasus. The program also includes courses that encourage discussion and research at theoretical level such as Global Debates, International Law, Peace and Conflict, International Migration, Democracy, Development and Human Rights.
In the program, research projects are carried out under the coordination of our academicians. Our students publish academic works, take part at the international workshops held every year, they carry out projects with public institutions and contribute to our academic journal (Cappadocia Journal of Area Studies).
