Contribution to Society

The main objectives of Cappadocia University are to contribute to local and international development, to preserve the global natural and cultural heritage, and to lead social support projects in our region.

In line with these objectives, we reduce our carbon and water footprints, conduct research into the environment and local cultures, and organize activities to increase environmental awareness. We schedule trainings to increase the quality of human resources in our region, and organize events to contribute to the cultural life of Cappadocia, including concerts, theater productions and public seminars. We train the elementary school students from our neighborhood in our “Mathematics Workshop”, which is organized with the active cooperation of the Ministry of National Education, and we also offer vocational development courses for the local population.

CAPPADOCIA UNIVERSITY IS AMONG THE MOST ENVIRONMENTAL UNIVERSITIES IN THE WORLD

Cappadocia University was ranked seventh on the 2019 Greenmetric List of private universities in Turkey, and 392nd among the 780 most environmental universities on the Greenmetric World List, which is based on a wide range of factors, from annual carbon footprint to energy efficiency, from education and research activities on environment and sustainability, to student activities in these areas.
