The event, which brought together prominent figures from the worlds of culture and art, featured books by our founders Alev Alatlı and Teoman Duralı, as well as stories from their broadcasts on TRT 2.
The program explored the contributions of these two esteemed figures to the cultural world and their broadcasting processes at TRT 2, providing viewers with a behind-the-scenes look at their intellectual worlds. Alev Alatlı's journey on screen, focusing on philosophy, literature, and social issues, and the development of her programs were particularly well-received.
The session titled "A Nurturer in Search of Water: Alev Alatlı" was moderated by artist and academic Günseli Kato. Rector Prof. Dr. In his speech titled "From Idea to Action: Alev Alatlı's Educational Legacy," Hasan Ali Karasar described Alatlı's intellectual world and the educational approach fostered at Cappadocia University. Karasar described Alev Alatlı's educational vision as "a future-oriented model that blends regional values with a universal perspective."
In his speech, Board of Trustees Chair Funda F. Aktan expressed her joy that Alev Alatlı's contributions to Turkish cultural and intellectual life have been passed down to new generations, saying, "My mother's ideas and the messages she conveyed to society through her programs are still relevant today. It is very meaningful that the TRT 2 Library keeps these valuable broadcast stories alive."
