Cappadocia University is the first and only foundation (non-profit private) university of the Cappadocia region, built on nearly two decades of experience since its foundations were laid in 2005. With the educational philosophy of “universal in origin, national in practice,” it offers a multidisciplinary structure that spans undergraduate, graduate, and vocational programs.

The origins of our university go back to Turkey’s first foundation vocational school established in line with regional development objectives. This mission—critical for the “Greater Cappadocia” area comprising Nevşehir, Kayseri, Aksaray, Kırşehir, and Niğde—is to train mid-level professionals in the quality and quantity needed to enable small and medium-sized enterprises to integrate into the national and EU economies.

Our educational model blends a practice-oriented approach inspired by the Seljuk Ahi order and the Ottoman guild tradition with contemporary pedagogy and advanced technological infrastructure. Through laboratories, clinics, workshops, and robust industry partnerships, our students build strong careers even while they are still studying.

From aviation to health, and from information technologies to cultural heritage and tourism, the programs we have structured in Cappadocia’s strategic fields support regional development and meet our country’s need for qualified human resources. The close coordination between our faculties and vocational schools creates a twin-pillar learning ecosystem that transforms abstract conceptual knowledge into concrete production.
