Turkey aims to be among the world's top ten economies in 2023, while increasing the secondary education enrollment rate to 100% for an estimated population of around 82 million. However, a key requirement to achieve these goals is having a workforce in the industrial, trade, and service sectors that is employable and qualified.
There is a great need for educational institutions that aim to develop direct expertise in growing and evolving job sectors, and that focus on career development. Kapadokya University School of Applied Sciences, aiming to meet this need, combines theory with practice in education to train specialists who can quickly adapt to working life, possess high communication skills, produce fast solutions, and think analytically. Our graduates will be individuals who know how to learn and can easily adapt to changes and developments in their sectors.
Initially, the School of Applied Sciences has opened departments in Aircraft Airframe and Engine, Aircraft Electrical-Electronics, and Gastronomy and Culinary Arts.
The School of Applied Sciences benefits from the sector connections, instructor qualifications, and workshop facilities of Kapadokya Vocational School. The Aircraft Technology Program within Kapadokya Vocational School has, for the first time in Turkey, received the authorization to provide training under the Civil Aviation Authority (SHGM) Aircraft Maintenance Training Organizations Regulation (SHY-147) for A1-A2 (Turbine Aircraft and Piston Aircraft) line maintenance personnel. With the opening of the Aircraft Airframe and Engine – Aircraft Electrical-Electronics Departments, it has also received the authorization to train B1.1 Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) and B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Avionics) under the same regulation.
The Gastronomy and Culinary Arts program within the school leverages the knowledge and infrastructure of the Kapadokya Vocational School Culinary Program, which is the most awarded chef program in Turkey's gastronomy competitions, taking it to the next level.
