As part of our efforts to strengthen international collaborations and cultural interaction, we hosted students from the Faculty of Tourism at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University in Cappadocia.
The students were hosted in Cappadocia, one of Turkey's leading tourism destinations, through an internship program organized annually by Expo Batumi, a Georgia-based international fair and event company, as part of the International Tourism Fair EBIT. During their visit to Cappadocia, one of Turkey's unique geographical regions, the students had the opportunity to experience the region's historical and natural beauty, while also learning about regional tourism and sectoral processes. As part of the program, the delegation visited Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İlhan Öztürk in his office and exchanged views on academic collaborations, student exchange programs, and joint projects between the two institutions.
The program, hosted by our university, served as an important meeting point for the development of regional tourism and international academic collaborations. At the end of the program, officials from the DEİK Turkey-Georgia Business Council and Expo Batumi expressed their gratitude for our support. The message emphasized that this valuable trip to Cappadocia significantly contributes to students' professional experiences and provides an environment for interaction with different cultures.
Our university will continue to sustainably develop its international collaborations and cultural interaction-focused activities.
