The Nevşehir Culture Road Festival, organized for the third time this year as part of the Turkey Culture Road Festivals, began with an opening ceremony held at our Ürgüp Factory Campus. Spearheaded by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the festival reunited Cappadocia's multilayered cultural heritage with contemporary interpretations of art.
The opening ceremony, hosted by our university, was attended by Nevşehir Governor Ali Fidan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Karasar, members of the protocol, academics, and art lovers.
Following the opening, the festival delegation toured the Factory Campus cellar, one of Ürgüp's historically and culturally valuable structures, which our university uses for cultural and educational activities. The cellar hosted the "From Sketch to Pixel: Digital Art Exhibition." This exhibition, which ranges from traditional sketching techniques to digital production methods, offered the opportunity to experience the evolving face of art within Cappadocia's historical fabric.
