The Cappadocia Gastronomy Festival, which will be held for the fifth time this year under the auspices of Nevşehir Governorate, will be held publicly in Mustafapaşa on May 15—16.
The festival, which will be organized with the theme “Local Heritage, Starry Tables”, will bring together the ancient culinary culture of Cappadocia, the accumulation of local production and the unique historical texture of Mustafapaşa with visitors for two days.
Mustafapaşa, which was selected as the “World's Best Tourism Village” by the United Nations World Tourism Organization in 2021, is also the only village in Turkey to host a university. With its historical stone mansions, squares, streets, viticultural tradition, culinary memory and multi-layered cultural structure, Mustafapaşa will be the center of gastronomy, culture and meeting during the festival.
The Cappadocia Gastronomy Festival is a continuation of the gastronomy-oriented work that the University of Cappadocia has been conducting since 2022. This journey, which began in 2022 with the theme “Another Cappadocia”, is part of the Turkish Cuisine Week, which began in 2023 under the leadership and patronage of Mrs. Emine Erdoğan It happened; in 2024 it was enriched with the theme of “Spring Tables in Cappadocia”, and in 2025 it achieved wide visibility with the participation of Mr. Madam.
Within
the framework of the two-day festival, Cappadocia Local Producers Market, Stars of Cappadocia Stands, Thematic Meetings, Gastronomy Stage, Mustafapaşa Taste Route and Cooking Competitions will be held. The events spread over different points of Mustafapaşa will offer participants a well-rounded experience.
During the festival, visitors will be able to access the products of local producers and women's cooperatives at the Cappadocia Local Producers Market, while at the Stars of Cappadocia stands, they will be able to experience the delicacies prepared by Cappadocian chefs included in the Michelin Guide.
The Gastronomy
Stage, which will be established on Mustafapaşa Square, will host famous chefs, gastronomy experts and artists from Cappadocia and different parts of Turkey throughout the festival. Talks, live music listening, concerts, surprise events and performances, as well as seminars on the axis of history, viticulture and sustainability will offer visitors a rich festival experience.
Local flavors to be served at stops on the Mustafapaşa Flavor Route will allow visitors to explore the culinary memory of Cappadocia on the spot. Food Competitions will bring dynamism and excitement to the festival by bringing together culinary enthusiasts around the same excitement.
The menus presented throughout the festival will be based on the goal of the lowest carbon footprint; applications will be implemented to reduce environmental impact in all processes, from production to consumption.
The festival, which will be held with the participation and support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Nevşehir Governorate, Cappadocia Area Presidency, TGA, Ahiler Development Agency, Urgüp Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mustafapaşa Municipality, Turkish Cookers' Federation and Cappadocia Cooks Association, will bring to the festival the taste and culture of Cappadocia and anyone who wants to experience his story on the spot is invited.
