On the first day of the work program, we met with Deniz Köken, Secretary General of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality; during the meeting, assessments of the current state of Bursa tourism and the planning process were shared. Subsequently, the Bursa Tourism Master Plan and Action Plan were presented to the Association of Bursa Municipalities and Bursa Cultural Tourism and Promotion Association at Kaplıkaya Attraction Center.

The main approach and working framework of the plan were shared in the presentation. At the academic consultation meeting held on the same day, Bursa's tourism potential, priority areas of study and the contributions our University can make to the planning process were evaluated.

From our university Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Gülcan, Assoc. Dr. Halil Burak Sakal, Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Bahar, Dr. Associate Professor Avşin Ayhan and Assistant Professor. While Fatıma Tüzzehra Albayrak participated in the study program, Prof. Dr. Canan Tanrısever from Kastamonu University, Prof. Dr. Güney Çetinkaya from the Mediterranean University and Prof. Dr. Murad Alpaslan Kasalak and Chief Şefika Günyel also participated in the program.

The program, which is a continuation of the studies carried out by our university in the fields of destination planning, tourism research and sustainable tourism, was completed with a technical evaluation meeting. The strengthening of Bursa's destination identity, the development of tourism products and the creation of a four-season visitor economy were discussed together with evaluations, field studies and stakeholder opinions.
