Led by our University and the University of Wolverhampton, Hatay, which was affected by the earthquake, was held. Within the scope of the ELEVATE Project, carried out in order to improve the digital skills of women entrepreneurs and strengthen their business, “From Hatay to the Digital Future: Women's Power with ELEVATE” Launch and Certification Ceremony was held.

At the ceremony held at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Ataturk Conference Hall, 60 women entrepreneurs who successfully completed the nine-month training process were presented with certificates. In the trainings, which began in October 2025 and were completed in June 2026, work was carried out on digital transformation, the use of artificial intelligence technologies in business processes and the improvement of the performance of enterprises.
The project, which we carry out in collaboration with different institutions, aims to support stronger participation of women entrepreneurs affected by the February 6 earthquakes in economic life, improve their digital competencies and make their production more visible. The transfer of knowledge and skills acquired within the scope of the project to the participants' own production and business models is also supported.

The ceremony was attended by Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Rector Prof. Dr. Veysel Eren, University of Wolverhampton Lecturer Prof. Dr. Roya Rahimi, Associate Professor Dr. Halil Burak Sakal and Lecturer. Academics, students and invitees participated with Cansu Zontur. The programme focused on supporting women's entrepreneurship in the post-earthquake economic recovery process and on the contributions that inter-university collaborations can make to regional development.

The official closing of ELEVATE Project will be held with meetings to be held in Ürgüp and Nevşehir on 9—11 November 2026. In programs that will bring together project partners and participants, experiences and results obtained during the process will be shared.
The fact that the project calendar will be completed with meetings in Cappadocia will not mean the end of communication and cooperation established under ELEVATE. The aim is to maintain the bond established with women entrepreneurs, to continue sharing experiences and to maintain the cooperation network formed in the project process in the future.

Strengthening the connection of women who continue to produce in Hatay with the digital world, ELEVATE has provided entrepreneurs with new skills, as well as a strong collaborative environment where they can make their products visible, develop their business and share experiences.
