As part of the event organized by our nursing department for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our students and academics were informed about breast cancer awareness.
Our Head of Nursing Department is coordinated by Dr. Lecturer Gülşah Bektaş and Assistant Professor. Students of the Department of Nursing also took an active part in the event, which was carried out with the contributions of Elif Birce Somuncuoğlu.
During the event, information was given about the importance of early diagnosis in breast cancer, risk factors, prevention approaches and regular check-ups; informative materials were presented to the participants at the awareness booth established at our Ürgüp Health Campus. Handmade flowers prepared by our students were also shared with participants to promote awareness.
The event also highlighted the role of preventive health services and community-based health education in the fight against breast cancer, highlighting the educational and counseling roles of nurses in the development of health awareness of individuals and society.
We care about the work that contributes to the development of community health, strengthening health literacy and increasing social awareness; we continue to create awareness in the field of health through activities that support the professional development of our students with the awareness of social responsibility.
