Consultationed with faculty members of the Faculty of Computer and Information Technologies of our university. Mustafa Fenerci is part of the research team of the KAY-SAT project, Turkey's first domestic and national meteorological satellite. In the project, Fenerci supports the processes of artificial intelligence-based analysis of satellite data and the development of prediction models.

The cooperation protocol was signed in the Melikgazi Municipality Assembly Hall for the KAY-SAT project to be carried out in cooperation with the Municipality of Melikgazi and Erciyes University. Considered an important step in the field of domestic and national satellite technologies, the project aims to develop meteorological observation and early warning systems with domestic technologies.

Under KAY-SAT, which aims to create an early warning system against natural disasters due to climate change, data from space will be used in meteorological forecasting processes. It is stated that the data to be provided from the project will play an important role in predicting weather events such as heavy rainfall, wind and hail.

In this context, Research Assistant Mustafa Fenerci will be involved in the project's work in the field of artificial intelligence technologies and will provide academic support to the processes of data analysis and development of prediction models.

Fenerci's participation in the KAY-SAT project reveals the contribution of academic studies conducted at our University to research and technology production processes in different disciplines.
