With the “Joint Use and Collaboration Protocol,” the historical buildings in our Ürgüp Campus are being transformed into a model public library and multi-purpose culture and arts center.
Under the "Library and Cultural Center Joint Use and Collaboration Protocol" signed between our university and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, the historic cellar building, rock-carved cellar, and adjacent structures at our Ürgüp Factory Campus will be transformed into a model library and multi-purpose culture and arts center open to the public. The project will create an internationally renowned information and culture center within the unique architecture of Cappadocia.
A New Cultural Stop in the Heart of Cappadocia!
The new library, with its spacious reading rooms, research and study areas, and event spaces, will be a meeting point for students, researchers, and visitors from all walks of life. The modern concert hall accompanying the complex will host tours and seasonal programs by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Choirs, the State Opera and Ballet, the Presidential Symphony Orchestra, and the State Theatres.
Synergy in the University-Society-Tourism Triangle
International conferences, symposiums, extracurricular workshops, student events, and numerous cultural and artistic activities organized by our university will take place at this venue. This large complex, which will make a significant contribution to Cappadocia's tourism and education ecosystem, will become a new focal point for the region as a library and cultural and artistic center.
