Cappadocia University continues to strengthen its international collaborations. During the visit of our Chair of the Board of Trustees, Ms. Funda Firuz Aktan, and our Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Kaan Aktan, to the University of Wolverhampton in England, the two universities signed a Bilateral Cooperation Protocol (MoU). This agreement stands out as a significant step in Cappadocia University's vision to expand its international collaborations. Under the protocol, the parties committed to student and faculty exchange, joint projects, the development of educational programs, and collaboration in various academic fields.
This collaboration is also supported by joint work with the University of Wolverhampton in Hatay as part of the ongoing ELEVATE Project, coded KA220-VET-4E4E5119. The ELEVATE project aims to empower women entrepreneurs in Hatay, affected by the 2023 earthquake, through digital capacity building. Led by Cappadocia University and implemented with national and international partners, the project aims to increase digital skills and resilience through training, toolkits, and community centers. A three-month training program will begin in Hatay in October, with support from Hatay Mustafa Kemal University and the Hatay Metropolitan Municipality.
