Chilean Ambassador Rodrigo Arcos visited KÜN, met with our Rector Prof. Dr. Karasar, and attended the "Diplomacy and Foreign Policy" seminar to evaluate Turkish-Chilean relations.
Our university continues to host high-quality diplomatic engagements on a regional and global scale through its international events and academic collaborations.
As part of these engagements, Chilean Ambassador to Ankara Rodrigo Arcos visited our university. He was hosted by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Karasar, and then briefed on our campuses and ongoing projects. During his visit, Ambassador Arcos participated as a guest speaker in the seminar titled "Diplomacy and Foreign Policy," organized as part of the Public Diplomacy in Foreign Policy Project, which is being implemented under the title "Conceiving a Common Horizon for Humanity and the Planet."
The seminar, moderated by ANKASAM Founding President Mehmet Seyfettin Erol, was held in person at the Oktay Sinanoğlu Conference Hall and broadcast live on Cappadocia University's YouTube Channel. The seminar, which attracted considerable attention from participants, featured Ambassador Arcos assessing Chile's foreign policy, current developments in international relations, and Turkey-Chile diplomatic relations. Ambassador Rodrigo Arcos emphasized the shared commitment to further strengthening the over-century-long friendly relations between the two countries, noting that such academic and cultural interactions deepen diplomatic ties. The program concluded with a question-and-answer session, the presentation of a plaque, and a commemorative photo.
