KÜN, which plays an active role in the field of diplomacy through international collaborations, hosted Swiss Ambassador Guillaume Scheurer at the “Foreign Policy and Public Diplomacy” seminar.
Our university, which hosts high-quality diplomatic contacts on a regional and global scale through its international events and academic collaborations, hosted Guillaume Bertrand Scheurer, the Swiss Ambassador to Ankara, for a seminar titled "Foreign Policy and Switzerland's Public Diplomacy."
Guillaume Bertrand Scheurer, who visited our university, was hosted by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Karasar, and then received information about ongoing activities and our campuses. Ambassador Scheurer participated as a guest speaker in a seminar organized as part of the Public Diplomacy in Foreign Policy Project as part of his visit.
The seminar, moderated by ANKASAM Founding President Prof. Dr. Mehmet Seyfettin Erol, was held in person at our Graduate Education, Training and Research Institute and broadcast live on our YouTube channel. The seminar attracted considerable interest from the participants, where Ambassador Scheurer commented on Switzerland's foreign policy and the public diplomacy activities it carries out within this framework. Ambassador Scheurer also discussed Turkish-Swiss relations, commemorating the centennial of the friendship treaty signed between Türkiye and Switzerland. The program concluded with a question-and-answer session, the presentation of a plaque, and a souvenir photo.
