07.10.2026

The ELEVATE Project, carried out in order to improve the digital skills of women entrepreneurs from Hatay affected by the earthquake, to make their production more visible and to support their entrepreneurial journey, is completed with programs to be carried out in Hatay and Cappadocia.

The ELEVATE Project, led by the University of Cappadocia and the University of Wolverhampton in collaboration with the British Council, Hatay Metropolitan Municipality, Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Antioch and TechWM, aims to contribute to the stronger participation of women entrepreneurs affected by the earthquake in economic and social life.

Through the training and work carried out within the scope of the project, women entrepreneurs were supported to use digital tools more effectively, to make their products and services more visible in the digital environment and to develop their entrepreneurial capacity. While the participants had the opportunity to adapt their knowledge and skills to their own production and business models, the project also created a collaborative environment that strengthened the sharing of experience and knowledge among women entrepreneurs.

The outcomes of the project in Hatay will be shared with the “Hatay to the Digital Future: Women Power with ELEVATE Project Launch and Certification Ceremony” to be held on October 27, 2026 at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Ataturk Conference Hall Amfi 2. Within the scope of the program, the products of women entrepreneurs who have completed their training will be exhibited and their certificates will be presented.

ELEVATE Project will be completed with programs to be carried out in Ürgüp and Nevşehir on 9—11 November 2026. In meetings that will bring together project partners and participants, the experiences gained during the process and the results obtained will be shared; the developments of women entrepreneurs in the field of digitalization and entrepreneurship will be evaluated. By connecting the knowledge and skills of women who continue to produce in Hatay with the possibilities of the digital world, ELEVATE supported the capacity of entrepreneurs not only to make their digital competencies visible, but also to make their products visible and to develop their business. The project, which started in Hatay and will be completed by sharing experiences in Cappadocia, leaves a network of knowledge, experience and strong cooperation that women entrepreneurs can use in their subsequent journeys.
