Academic General Assembly of our University 2026-2027 was held in Oktay Sinanoğlu Building Meeting Hall with the participation of our academic and administrative staff.
At the meeting where evaluations and institutional priorities for the new academic year were shared, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Karasar addressed the participants; within the scope of the program, performance awards were also presented to our academic and administrative staff due to their contributions and selfless work to our University in the academic year 2025-2026.
Speaking at the Academic General Assembly, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Karasar wished the new academic year to be successful, productive and peaceful for our University, saying, “Our students and the quality of the education we provide are at the heart of all activities of the University.” Karasar also pointed out the common goal of the studies that will be carried out in the new term: “All this answers the same question: how can a student of the University of Cappadocia be offered a better education and a stronger future?” he said.
Sharing his expectations for the new academic year, Karasar emphasized the goals of our students to produce more projects, to make more use of minor and micro-qualification programs, to increase the quality of publications and project work of our academics, to integrate artificial intelligence more strongly into educational processes and to strengthen the belonging of our students to the University. Karasar said, “More importantly, every job we do has to be a little better than last year. Because what drives institutions forward is more than big promises, small jobs that are repeated every day are done to high standards,” he concluded in his message for the new academic year.
Performance Awards Presented
Within the scope of the Academic General Assembly, our academic and administrative staff were presented with the Academic Staff Performance Award for the Academic Year 2026-2027 due to their contributions and dedicated work to our University.
Awarded names; Associate Professor Fatma Nur Kaya Sağlam, Lecturer Merve Koku, Ref. Mustafa Gökberk Ertan, Corporate Communications Office Campaign Promotion Manager Ahmet Emir Yılmaz, Administrative Responsible for Oral and Dental Health Practice and Research Center Gülizar Head and Library and Documentation Department staff was Erdem Demir.
The program ended after the presentation of the awards.
