The third of the panel series “Turkish World Dialogues: Common Future, Common Vision” organized by the Presidential Communications Directorate was held on September 29, 2026 in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Karasar also participated in the program.
The panel held before the 13th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Organization of Turkish States to be held in Ankara on 29-30 October 2026, discussed the common vision of the Turkish world and academic, cultural and social cooperation between countries.
The program began with the opening speeches of the First Vice President of the Senate of the National Assembly of Uzbekistan and Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Prof. Dr. Sodiq Safoyev and the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Tashkent, Ufuk Ulutaş, President of Presidential Communications Prof. Dr. Burhanettin Duran attended the program with a video message.
The panel, which was moderated by Yusuf Özhan, Deputy Director General and Editor-in-Chief of Anadolu Agency, was attended by the Rector of the museum Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Karasar as the speaker.
Emphasar stressed that common historical and cultural ties in the Turkish world should be supported by concrete cooperation, Karasar said: “Our common history and culture are a strong starting point. But the main thing today is to be able to translate this partnership into the results we produce together.” Karasar noted that the Organization of Turkish States constitutes an important institutional ground; he pointed out that joint capacity should be strengthened in areas such as student mobility, joint research, micro-competencies, digital dictionaries and artificial intelligence tools. “
No country can manage all these risks alone,” Karasar said, referring to the importance of acting jointly in areas such as cybersecurity, disasters, energy and supply chains. Karasar said that the Central Corridor should be considered not only as a transit line, but as an area of economic cooperation to support production, investment and employment.
Karasar stated that cooperation between the countries of the Turkish world should develop on the basis of respect for differences, “Strong cooperation should increase the options of countries by respecting differences and ensure that they achieve results together in the areas that are needed,” Karasar said. Karasar concluded his speech by saying, “Our common memory has brought us together; from now on, we must look at how much our partner institutions increase the options of our countries and the possibilities of our societies.”
