The Cappadocia University Pathology Laboratory Techniques Program was established within the Cappadocia Vocational School by the decision of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) dated 30.04.2015 and numbered 2627. The student quota was determined, and the program accepted its first students in the 2015-2016 academic year at the Nevşehir/Mustafapaşa campus. The curriculum of the Pathology Laboratory Techniques Program was designed in accordance with the Turkish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TQF-HE), the expectations of the healthcare sector for qualified personnel, the curricula of similar programs at other universities, and the feedback of stakeholders within the healthcare industry. Cappadocia University’s Pathology Laboratory Techniques Program graduated its first cohort in the 2016-2017 academic year. To date, a total of 298 associate degree students have graduated from our program with the title of Pathology Laboratory Technician.
