Within the scope of the Tourist Guiding Profession Law No. 6326, a training program for graduates of Art History, Archaeology and Far Eastern Languages ​​will be launched at the Istanbul Campus in cooperation with Cappadocia University and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Within the framework of Tourist Guiding Profession Law No. 6326; Within the scope of the "Tourist Guide Education Program Protocol" signed between our university and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the application requirements and procedures for the Tourist Guide Education Program for graduates of Art History and Archaeology and Far Eastern Languages, planned to be held at our Istanbul Campus, are listed below.

Application Requirements

  1. Be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey.
  2. Be over 18 years of age as of the application date.
  3. Have at least a bachelor's degree from a university's archaeology or art history department (submit a certified copy of the equivalence certificate for those who have studied abroad).
  4. Have at least an associate's degree for applicants in the Far Eastern Languages ​​field.
  5. If the education program is offered in a language determined by the Ministry, submit a foreign language proficiency certificate for that language.
  6. Applicants pursuant to Article 3, paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Law must have a foreign language proficiency certificate (submit an application form). (Note: A minimum score of 75 on the ÖSYM-YDS exam, or an equivalent score from an internationally recognized exam, must have been taken within the last 5 years before the Ministry's exam calendar.) For languages ​​not included in the Ministry's exam calendar, success in the exam administered under the supervision of the Ministry is required.
  7. Not having been convicted of the crimes listed in Article 3, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph (e) of the Law.
  8. Not having been previously dismissed from the profession.
  9. The applications of those detected by the Ministry, before or after the start of the training program, to have made false statements will be deemed invalid, and their relationship with the training program will be terminated. A criminal complaint will be filed against them by the Ministry to the Public Prosecutor's Office in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Turkish Penal Code No. 5237, dated September 26, 2004.

Note: Mandatory documents must be uploaded during registration. Applications from those who upload incomplete documents will not be accepted. Care must be taken when uploading candidates' documents.

Mandatory Attendance

If unexcused absences exceed 10%, the candidate's registration will be cancelled (Regulation, Article 11).

The training program examis organized in accordance with the legislation.

ARTICLE 13:

(1) At the end of the training program, a written exam covering the courses in Article 8 will be administered by the institution or organization providing the training under the supervision and control of the Ministry.

(2) The exam announcement will be announced on the websites of the Ministry and the institutions and organizations that will conduct the exam. The announcement shall include the application procedure, exam date, deadline, exam fee, and other matters deemed appropriate by the Ministry.

(3) An exam committee shall be established by the Ministry to conduct the exam. The committee shall consist of three members: one chair, two members appointed by the Ministry, and one trainer from the institution or organization conducting the exam.

(4) The exam committee shall prepare the questions, conduct the exams, evaluate the exam results, announce the exam results, resolve objections, and carry out other exam-related tasks.

(5) The total score for the written exam is one hundred, and candidates who receive at least fifty points in each subject and at least seventy points in average are considered successful.

(6) If an incorrect question is detected during the exam, it shall be deemed to have been answered correctly by all candidates.

(7) An objection to the exam results may be made to the institution or organization conducting the exam within seven days. The objections shall be submitted within twenty days. are finalized.

(8) A list of candidates deemed successful in the exam is sent to the Ministry.

(9) Those deemed unsuccessful in the exam have the right to retake the exam.

Disciplinary provisions and penalties related to the training program are regulated in accordance with the legislation.
