The following are the application requirements and calendar for the spring semester of the 2025-2026 academic year double major and minor:

1. Double Major Application Requirements

For dual major program application;

1. a) The student enters the second major diploma program at the beginning of the third semester at the earliest in the major undergraduate diploma program, at the latest at the beginning of the fifth semester in four-year programs, at the beginning of the seventh semester in the five-year programs, at the beginning of the ninth semester in the six-year programs; in the major pre-undergraduate diploma program at the earliest at the beginning of the second semester and at the latest the third semester can apply at the beginning of the year.
2. b) The student must have completed all credit and non-credit courses taken in the major/associate degree program by the semester of application with at least DD or G grade.
3. c) The student must meet the minimum GNO requirement of not less than 2.72 (70/100) [2.90 (74.33/100) for the Psychology department], recommended by the head of the department conducting the second major program and approved by the relevant board of directors.
4. ç) Of the students whose overall grade point average in the major diploma program is at least 70 out of 100, but who do not rank within the top 20% of the students who have a score not less than the base score in the respective year of the double major program, as well as those who have a score not less than the base score in the corresponding year of the program to be studied in the respective class of the major degree program, can apply for the double major program.
5. d) The student must satisfy the additional application conditions determined by the proposal of the head of the department conducting the second major program and by the decision of the relevant board of directors.

2. Minor Application Conditions

For applying for a minor program;

1. a) The student may apply for the minor program at the beginning of the third semester at the earliest in the major bachelor's degree program, at the latest at the beginning of the sixth semester in four-year programs, at the beginning of the seventh semester in five-year programs, and at the beginning of the ninth semester in six-year programs.
2. b) The student must have completed all credit and non-credit courses taken in the major undergraduate program by the semester of application with at least DD or G grade.
3. c) The student must meet the minimum GNO requirement of not less than 2.50 (65/100) [2.90 (74.33/100) for the Psychology department], recommended by the department head conducting the minor program and approved by the relevant board of directors.
4. ç) The student must meet the additional application conditions proposed by the department head conducting the minor program and determined by the decision of the relevant board of directors.

Note: Applications will be received online and the requested documents will be uploaded into the application form. Students whose applications are accepted are required to hand over the originals of their application documents to our university at the time of final registration. Actions made in the application, even if exact records were made of those who submitted false, incomplete and incorrect information and documents in the placement registration process, are canceled
