What is the Faculty of Dentistry? Why Should I Study Here?

The Faculty of Dentistry provides education in oral and dental health protection, treatment of dental and gum diseases, prosthetic/restorative treatments, and dental and jaw surgeries. The curriculum includes courses in eight specialty areas: Endodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Diagnosis and Radiology, Pedodontics (pediatric dentistry), Prosthetic Dental Treatments, and Restorative Dental Treatments.

Due to increasing population, insufficient brushing habits and preventive programs, irregular and unhealthy eating habits, and aesthetic concerns, the demand for dental services is expected to increase in the coming years. Dentistry remains a preferred profession today and will continue to be so in the future. Moreover, the development of health tourism has increased the need for dentists and auxiliary personnel both domestically and internationally.

Why Should I Study Dentistry at Cappadocia University?

The Faculty of Dentistry at Cappadocia University aims to educate individuals who are equipped with the latest theoretical and practical knowledge, open to innovations, research-oriented, and contribute to public health.

The education program is prepared based on international competencies determined by The Association for Dental Education in Europe. While receiving intensive theoretical medical education, our students will gain clinical skills at the University's Oral Health Practice and Research Center. Our graduates will become competent dentists practicing successfully in hospitals, clinics, or private enterprises.

The faculty has fully equipped simulation laboratories. In these labs, dental practice simulations are performed on model patients, and students can watch live demonstrations by faculty members via monitors. The prosthetic dental labs, which include all necessary equipment and provide ample space for all students to practice comfortably, contain basic dental prosthetics, plaster pressing, and casting sections. In these laboratories, students gain competence before clinical practice and perform many initial applications of dentistry.

Consumables are provided by our university.
