In line with this vision, the Faculty of Computer and Information Technologies (FCIT), established in 2025, was built upon our university’s long-standing institutional experience in the field of informatics. Since 2005, our university has been providing education in this field through its Associate Degree Program in Computer Programming. It has also contributed to the development of the digital world through undergraduate programs offered within the School of Applied Sciences. With the integration of the Information Security Technology, Information Systems and Technologies, and Software Development programs under the FCIT umbrella as of the 2025 academic year, a more holistic, strong, and strategic structure in the field of informatics has been established. This new faculty structure both creates academic synergy and further advances Cappadocia University’s deep-rooted expertise in this area.

As a faculty, our goal is to educate individuals with strong analytical thinking skills, who are innovative, capable of solving complex problems, and committed to ethical values. While equipping students with these technical competencies, we never compromise on the principles of “wisdom – morality – justice – etiquette.”
FCIT plays a strategic role in strengthening Turkey’s digital economy, training experts in a wide range of fields from cybersecurity to artificial intelligence, and promoting domestic technology production.
