Established under the roof of Cappadocia University, the Faculty of Computer and Information Technologies (FCIT) commenced its educational and research activities in 2025 with six departments: Information Security Technologies, Information Systems and Technologies, Software Development, Management Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Data Learning, and Data Science and Analytics. With its young, dynamic, and distinguished academic staff, the faculty is committed to delivering quality education and conducting cutting-edge research in these fields.
In today’s rapidly advancing digital transformation, computer and information technologies have become indispensable in all areas of life. As FCIT, our aim is to train highly qualified professionals who are innovative, analytical thinkers with strong problem-solving skills and capable of adapting to the needs of the modern world. While imparting these technical competencies, we never compromise our guiding principles of “mind – morality – justice – courtesy.” FCIT plays a key role in strengthening our nation’s digital economy by educating experts across a wide range of fields—from cybersecurity to artificial intelligence—and by contributing to the development of domestic technologies.
In line with its mission, “To train pioneering individuals who, through a human- and society-oriented approach, utilize artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and software technologies to sustain the unique values of Cappadocia in the digital world and contribute to Turkey’s technological advancement with ethical and sustainable awareness,” our faculty guides its work with the vision of “Becoming a technological tree rooted in the cradle of civilizations—Cappadocia—whose branches extend across the world, building digital bridges that carry the legacy of the past into the future.”
We provide our students with modern laboratories where they can transform theoretical knowledge into practice, projects developed in collaboration with the industry, and a learning environment that equips them to compete at an international level.
