About the Program

The Medical Laboratory Techniques Program at Cappadocia University was established within Cappadocia Vocational School by the decision of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) dated 30/04/2015 and numbered 2547. The program was granted a student quota and admitted its first students in the 2015–2016 academic year at the Nevşehir/Mustafapaşa campus.

The curriculum of the Medical Laboratory Techniques Program is developed in line with the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ), the university’s strategic plan, the expectations of the healthcare sector for qualified personnel, curricula of similar programs at other universities, and feedback from stakeholders in the relevant healthcare sectors. It is reviewed and updated annually to remain aligned with current technologies.

Cappadocia University’s Medical Laboratory Techniques Program graduated its first cohort in the 2016–2017 academic year. To date, the program has produced a total of 368 associate degree graduates who have earned the title of Medical Laboratory Technician.
