School of Foreign Languages

As of the 2023–2024 academic year, Cappadocia University’s School of Foreign Languages continues its activities under this name on the Istanbul and Nevşehir campuses. Prior to this date, our school provided foreign-language instruction to students as the English Unit within Cappadocia Vocational School. Upon attaining its new status, it revised the objectives and syllabi of foreign-language courses and began offering our university students a Preparatory Class, an Associate Degree Intensive English program, General English and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) within undergraduate programs, as well as compulsory and elective foreign-language courses.
In addition to assuming responsibility for preparing, administering, and evaluating the exams of these courses conducted within our university, our school also prepares and administers the Foreign Language Proficiency Exam (KÜNYET) for Cappadocia University graduate programs, as well as exemption exams for the university’s other foreign-language courses.
Beyond the regular curricula, it also offers the foreign-language classes provided through our university’s Continuing Education Center (SEM).
