Management Information Systems is a multidisciplinary field that combines business and information technology. Collecting big data and making it useful according to business needs, monitoring developments in information technology, and adapting them to improve organizational efficiency are among the responsibilities of MIS graduates. Professionals in this field must understand information technologies and have knowledge of how their use can contribute to the efficiency of organizations. There is a high demand for qualified personnel in this field in our country.
The aim of Cappadocia University’s Management Information Systems Department is to train individuals who can contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of regional enterprises globally; analyze big data to support healthy management decision-making; monitor developments in the IT sector and their effects on efficiency; perform optimization; master software, develop web-based applications, and think analytically.
Cappadocia University has experience in establishing connections with different sectors and keeping education up to date by following the human resource needs of the industry. Students accepted into a double major program complete a second undergraduate program simultaneously with their main field and gain the right to receive two separate diplomas. Thus, they combine their expertise in information systems with competencies in a second field, obtaining a strong competitive advantage in both the public and private sectors.
Note: There is no minor program available for the Management Information Systems Department.

Graduates of the Management Information Systems Department can work in the IT centers, system development units, project development departments, software companies, and consultancy firms of private or public organizations. They may hold titles such as Human Resources Specialist/Manager, Business Development Specialist/Manager, Project Manager, Sales and Marketing Specialist/Manager, Business Analyst, ERP Specialist/Manager, Business Intelligence Specialist/Manager, or Academic, among others.
