The Oral and Dental Health Program trains students to become qualified dental health technicians and dental assistants who can work in dental clinics, private hospitals, or public hospitals. It’s one of the programs with the highest employment opportunities after graduation. Graduates can also work in the dental industry, such as dental supply companies and implant firms.
A dental health technician assists dentists during patient examinations, prepares treatment materials, and ensures everything is ready for use. They set up the work environment for the dentist, welcome the patient, and support both the dentist and the patient throughout the treatment process.
The aim of Cappadocia Vocational School’s Oral and Dental Health Program is to educate respected, highly qualified graduates who have international-level knowledge in oral and dental health and are preferred by both the public and private sectors. The program includes hands-on training in the university’s laboratories and in affiliated health institutions and organizations.
Students in the Oral and Dental Health Program can broaden their career horizons by combining their technical skills with other complementary disciplines through double major (ÇAP) opportunities.
Dental Prosthetics Technology
Students accepted into the double major program can complete both the Oral and Dental Health and Dental Prosthetics Technology associate degree programs simultaneously, earning two separate diplomas. This combination of clinical practice and prosthetic design skills gives them a strong competitive edge in laboratories, clinics, and oral-dental health centers.
Note: There is currently no defined minor program for the Oral and Dental Health Program.
This double major option helps students stand out in the dynamic oral and dental health sector by improving their prosthetic design, patient communication, and teamwork skills. For application requirements, success criteria, and quotas, please contact your program advisor.
Graduates of the Oral and Dental Health Associate Degree Program can work as “Dental Health Technicians” in dental health centers, dental clinics, hospitals’ dental units, and dental supply or implant companies. There are also many positions available in public hospitals and Dental Health Centers (ADSM).
The program includes both theoretical courses such as dental morphology, materials science, dental tools and equipment, principles of dentistry, dental diseases, infectious diseases, anatomy, physiology, and microbiology, as well as hands-on clinical practice courses.
Students enrolled in the Oral and Dental Health Program can also choose to do a double major in the Dental Prosthetics program.
