It is vitally important that all components of aircraft operate at their highest possible performance level. To ensure this, a number of regular inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures must be carried out. These procedures, which must be performed precisely based on current data and international standards, require qualified personnel who can apply modern methods and techniques. The Aircraft Technology Program aims to train qualified maintenance and repair personnel in line with international standards to meet this need.
The purpose of the Cappadocia Vocational School Aircraft Technology Associate Degree Program is to train the qualified technical workforce required by the industry — individuals with strong reasoning skills, good manual dexterity, sufficient English proficiency, and the ability to perform aircraft maintenance in accordance with national and international safety regulations.
The Aircraft Technology Program of Cappadocia Vocational School is the first and only higher education program in Turkey authorized to provide Category A1 and A2 Aircraft Maintenance Training (Part-147). The program offers a unique education experience with two semesters of practical training per year, technical English courses, fully equipped workshops, and hands-on practice in real maintenance environments. Since 2012, the program has been authorized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation as a “SHY-147 Aircraft Maintenance Training and Examination Organization.”
In addition to theoretical courses, students in the Aircraft Technology Program receive practical training in our fully equipped workshops and in real maintenance environments at SHY-145 approved maintenance organizations that collaborate with the university. Through this hands-on training, students interact with industry professionals and gain a deeper understanding of real working environments.
