The Accessible KÜN Unit has been established to facilitate the unrestricted access of all our students to every service and opportunity related to higher education life, as well as to the academic programs offered by our university.

The unit’s core working principle is to identify the “barriers” that prevent students from sustaining their academic lives equally and in the most effective way, and to remove these barriers by providing opportunities that create a campus environment supporting students’ academic, professional, social, and personal development. The services of the unit established for this purpose can be summarized as follows:

• Equality in access to academic programs,
• Priority regarding accommodation needs,
• Equality in inclusion within higher education life,
• Priority in scholarship provision through the Scholarship Committee,
• Priority for part-time employment opportunities through the Part-Time Employment Committee,
• Arrangements that facilitate access to buildings, administrative and service units, classrooms, and laboratories,
• Change of class and exam venues when needed,
• Facilitations in student registration procedures and student affairs services upon request,
• Raising awareness on disability within higher education.

You can submit your request verbally or in writing directly to the Accessible KÜN Unit, to your program advisor, to student representatives, or to members of the student council. You can also submit your request by filling out the “Disabled Student Information Sharing Form.”

All modifications to be made in the historical buildings located on our university’s Cappadocia Campus are subject to the Law on the Protection of Cultural and Natural Assets and must be approved by the relevant board. For requests not approved by the relevant board, the Accessible KÜN Unit develops alternative solutions.
