Our university will hold its "Liberation Certificate Composed Mevlid Performance" program in Kahramanmaraş to commemorate the February 6, 2023 earthquake and the February 12 Liberation of Kahramanmaraş.
The program, which will be held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, with the cooperation of our University, Kahramanmaraş Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality and with the contributions of Foundation Participation, will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 19.30 at Kahramanmaraş Mehmet Akif Ersoy Culture Center with the audience will meet.
Within the scope of the program, following the screening of a documentary film about the life of Süleyman Çelebi and Hafiz Kemal Batanay, selected sections of Süleyman Çelebi's composition Vesîletü'n-Necât, made by Hafız Kemal Batanay in 1956 will be performed.
“Mawlid İkrâsi, composed by Mawlid Ber'ati of Salvation”, will end with the prayer of Hatim, which will be read for our citizens who lost their lives in the great earthquake on February 6, 2023.
With the
decision of UNESCO in 2021, the “600th Anniversary of the Death of Süleyman Çelebi” was included among the UNESCO Anniversary of Remembrance and Celebration in 2022; the Presidential Circular dated 02.06.2022 and 2022/6 are aimed at promoting Mevlid on an international scale. Vesîletü'n-Necât, composed by Hafiz Kemal Batanay with 12 bahir, 89 makam and 10 different rhythms, is among the most comprehensive works of Turkish music.
