Our University has achieved a significant success in the Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026 results announced by the international higher education rating agency Times Higher Education (THE).
In the 2026 results, in which 1646 universities from 116 countries were evaluated and 74 universities from Turkey were included, our University maintained its position in the 1001—1500 band in the overall rating, while raising the performance band in 13 of the evaluated Sustainable Development Goals, once again demonstrating its institutional development in sustainability studies at the international level.
According to the 2026 results, the highest performing areas of the University of Cappadocia were SKA 3 (Healthy and Quality Life), SKA 4 (Qualified Education) and SKA 7 (Accessible and Clean Energy). Especially in SKA 4, our University increased its strong position in this field by raising two performance bands from one; in addition, two performance bands increased both in the categories of SKA 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SKA 10 (Reducing Inequalities). In addition, the category SKA 5 (Gender Equality), SKA 8 (Decent Business and Economic Growth), SKA 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SKA 14 (Life on Water), SKA 15 (Terrestrial Life) and SKA 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) has increased its international institutional development in the field of sustainability. Revealed once again on the scale.
The results obtained by our university reveal that sustainability studies are constantly developing not only in specific areas, but also in a wide range of SKAs, strengthening its international visibility.
These results obtained in line with sustainability-oriented policies and practices implemented in the fields of education, research, social contribution, environmental management and corporate governance in recent years show that the vision of the University of Cappadocia to integrate sustainable development with a holistic approach to all areas of activity is resonant at the international level.
