Audiologists are in high demand in the healthcare sector. In recent years, there has been an increasing need for professionals in hospitals, special education and rehabilitation centers, and hearing aid sales and application centers. Audiology graduates can specialize and shape their careers in subfields such as Clinical Audiology, Educational Audiology, Pediatric Audiology, Geriatric Audiology, Industrial Audiology, and Balance Systems.
Audiologists are employed in Audiology Clinics of public, private, or university hospitals. For cochlear implant applications to be carried out in hospitals, an audiologist is required by law to be present alongside an ENT specialist. In addition, they can provide services in auditory rehabilitation and verbal language development in special education and rehabilitation centers for individuals with hearing impairments. In the private sector, they can work as responsible managers, audiologists, or educational audiologists in hearing aid companies, and also in cochlear implant companies providing services to healthcare institutions.
Graduates who wish to pursue an academic career can continue their postgraduate education at universities in Turkey or abroad.
