Double Major (ÇAP) and Minor Opportunities in the Opticianry Program

Opticianry students can broaden their career horizons by enriching their technical and clinical skills with a complementary discipline, benefiting from the double major (ÇAP) opportunity.

Program Eligible for Double Major

  • Audiometry

Students accepted for ÇAP can complete the Audiometry associate degree program simultaneously with their main Opticianry program and earn two separate diplomas. This combination allows them to merge optical product knowledge and eyewear production/application expertise with hearing and balance assessment skills, giving them a competitive advantage in optical centers, audiology clinics, and integrated healthcare units.

This double major opportunity enhances students’ communication with patients, multidisciplinary teamwork, and the ability to provide integrated vision-hearing healthcare services, helping them stand out in the dynamic health and optical sector.
