Our Mission and Vision
Learn More

Our vocational school, which first admitted students in 2005 with five associate degree programs, has been continuing its mission since 2017 as an important component of our university, training qualified professionals demanded by the business world. In line with our mission, our primary goal is to ensure that our students graduate as “professionals who contribute to the sustainable development of our country, are sensitive to social issues and social responsibility, prioritize professional ethics, and possess high-level qualifications.”

Our vocational school, which holds a unique place in applied vocational education, offered a total of 31 programs during the 2020–2021 academic year: 16 in health sciences, 8 in aviation, 3 in social services and law, and 4 Cappadocia programs. We operate across four campuses in two cities. Health programs are conducted at the Nevşehir Ürgüp campus; aviation programs are offered both at the Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Nevşehir Mustafapaşa campuses; and the law, social services, and Cappadocia programs are carried out at the Nevşehir Mustafapaşa campus. The Culinary Arts program, which is among our Cappadocia programs, conducts its practical training in professional kitchens at the Nevşehir Uçhisar campus.

To ensure the permanence of acquired knowledge, as in our health and aviation programs, practical training in our other departments is carried out in laboratories and workshops within the school, as well as through professional practice courses at various sector-based workplaces. During these term-long practice courses, students in some programs gain hands-on experience under the supervision of leading industry professionals. We continuously update the theoretical and practical content in our curriculum to stay aligned with sectoral developments. As the only institution authorized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation to provide education in specific civil aviation fields, our contribution to students’ professional development is undeniable. With cooperation and internship protocols established with 263 different institutions and organizations, we take pride in exemplifying university–industry collaboration and facilitating our students’ transition into the professional world as highly qualified graduates.
