A flight operations specialist (flight dispatcher) is qualified personnel holding a valid license approved by civil aviation authorities, responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling flight operations. They inform the flight crew at the request of the responsible pilot or in necessary situations, monitor the flight flow, and ensure that emergency information is transmitted to the relevant units. Flight dispatching is one of the most responsible and highest-paying professions in airlines, in charge of planning, execution, monitoring, management, and control of flight operations for all types of civil aircraft in accordance with national and international civil aviation standards. It is a highly respected role that shares flight responsibility with the captain and functions as the “brain” of the airline in the operations office.
In addition to holding an associate degree, obtaining a dispatcher license approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is mandatory to become a flight operations specialist. The Flight Operations Management Program developed by our school holds the distinction of being the first program in Türkiye to train dispatchers and the only program authorized by the DGCA.
Our university delivers online and real-time training in a computer-based environment using the latest modern technology, providing students with a learning experience that simulates the professional settings they will work in after graduation.
The Flight Operations Management Program is conducted in a realistic infrastructure and environment, not in a virtual setting disconnected from real-world industry practices, allowing students to adapt quickly to their future workplaces after graduation.
