13th World Design and Art Congress (September 25 – 27, 2025)
Hosted by Cappadocia University, the 13th World Design and Art Congress aims to bring together researchers, academics, and artists working in the fields of design and art to foster interdisciplinary interaction. The congress will be held with the opportunity for face-to-face participation and will be open not only to paper presentations but also to exhibition contributions.

Discusses the dual nature of painting as both a material object and a carrier of meaning; and how meaning is produced within the artist-media-viewer context.
🎨 Deniz Sözen – University of Birmingham
Title: ‘Whose heritage?’: Multilingualism and the use of digital technologies as decolonial methodologies in practice-based research
Within the theme of art and migration, addresses artistic interventions into cultural gaps through digital archiving and multilingual narratives.
🎨 Bager Akbay – Artist, Designer, Educator
Title: Compression Fields of Art in the Twentieth Century: Technology, Image, and Elitization
Presents a critical evaluation of art’s relationship with technology, the instrumentalization of the image, and the elitization of art.
🎨 Prof. Dr. Uğurcan Akyüz – Toros University
Title: A Subjective Perspective on Artificial Intelligence through Art
Provides an experiential narrative on the impact of artificial intelligence on art, its relationship with the artist as subject, and transformations in art production.
