Psychology is a branch of science that examines and investigates human behavior, the mental processes of these behaviors, and the underlying causes. The complexity of human behavior, interpersonal differences, cultural influences, biological factors, age-related factors, abnormal behavior etc. are the subdomains of psychology. In addition to interacting of these subdomains with each other, psychology requires interdisciplinary work, especially in interaction with other disciplines, such as sociology and biology.

Studying Psychology at Cappadocia University

The language of education in the Department of Psychology at Cappadocia University is Turkish. Thus, our students can read more texts by taking more time to read, understanding and absorption of them. Moreover, the students are able to freely express his ideas in controversial matters by asking questions the faculty members without hesitation about the subjects they do not understand. Our department aims to provide high level English proficiency, critical and analytical thinking skills to our students by offering an interdisciplinary approach to education.

In the Department of Psychology at Cappadocia University, the students are given the basic concepts of "Logic," "Law" and "Time and Project Management" besides standard undergraduate education and professional skills gained regarding their specific area. The other difference is that “media psychology after the digital revolution” course, which influenced psychology was put as an obligatory lecture. In other universities, there are not many compulsory courses with these titles. Psychology students have the opportunity to make double major in nutrition and dietetics, child development, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, political science and public administration, political science and international relations, social services (associate degree) programs, and minor major in nutrition and dietetics, child development, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, political science and public administration, political science and international relations programs. In addition, the Erasmus program offers students the opportunity to study at universities abroad in different countries.
