Leading interdisciplinary thinker and a prolific writer Susan Buck-Morss, a Professor at the City University of New York, is the guest of the fifth program of the seminar series “A Common Horizon for Humanity and the Planet”, which will be broadcasted live on the Cappadocia University YouTube channel on Thursday, January 20 at 19:00, Turkish time. Her research is oriented towards the study of culture, visual theory, and globalization. She is the author of many books, including “The Origin of Negative Dialectics” (1977); “The Dialectics of Seeing” (2001); “Dreamworld and Catastrophe: The Passing of Mass Utopia in East and West” (2002); “Thinking Past Terror: Islamism and Critical Theory on the Left” (2006); “Revolution Today” (2019); “Hegel, Haiti and Universal History” (2009) and “Year 1: A Philosophical Recounting” (2021). Her five books, including “Hegel, Haiti and Universal History” were translated to Turkish.
