What is Equivalency Letter?

It is called “Denklik Belgesi” in Turkish. It certifies that your high school diploma/certificate is equivalent to an education in Turkey. All candidates should prove Equivalency Letter while enrolling to a university in Turkey.

How can I apply for Equivalency Letter?

It is carried out by our Education Consultancy and Attaché at the Embassy and Consulate Generals in a foreign country and by the Provincial Directorate of National Education in Turkey.

What is Student Visa?

In accordance with the article 7.1b of “the Law on Foreigners and International Protection” no.6458, foreigners wishing to enter Turkey should carry a travel document (passport) with an expiration date at least 60 days beyond the “duration of stay” of their visa, e-Visa, visa exemption, or residence permit.

All international candidate students must have obtained a Student Visa before entering Turkey for studying. Student visas must be obtained from a Turkish Consulate, generally the one nearest your place of residence. A student visa is required to register as a student in Turkey.

What is Residency?

It is called “İkamet İzni” in Turkish. Foreigners who want to apply for residence permit need to follow on e-ikamet appointment system.

Foreigners those who want to apply for residence permit are required to have a valid health insurance.

How can I apply for Health Insurance?

There are many alternatives to have health insurance which is provided by the governmental offices and private companies.

How can I arrive to Cappadocia University?

There are many ways to get to Cappadocia depending on where you’re coming from. Cappadocia has two airports Nevsehir Kapadokya and Kayseri Erkilet. By plane, it takes about 1 hr and 15 mins to fly from Istanbul. There are direct flights daily from Istanbul (Ataturk or Sabiha Gokcen) to either airport. Very reasonably priced airport shuttle bus services operate between both Cappadocia airports. If you have booked your accommodation the easiest solution is to ask your school or hotel to arrange an airport-shuttle pickup for you, though be aware that some hotels beef up the price of shuttle transfers ridiculously. You can also book directly with the shuttle-bus services. Several companies run nightly intercity bus from Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Adana, etc… to Cappadocia too.

Is there any student union or club activity at Cappadocia University?

There are 27 student clubs operating in various fields within the University. In addition to organizing cultural and sporting activities,

the clubs ensure the strengthening of the bonds between our University and society through the social responsibility projects they carry out.
