School of Foreign Languages

The main activities of the School of Foreign Languages are: to teach Cappadocia University students the basic rules of their selected language; and to provide them with the ability to read in the foreign language, to understand what is heard, to express themselves verbally and in written form, and improve their vocabulary. By gaining competence in their selected foreign language, our students are able to successfully complete their undergraduate courses, perform effective scientific studies and participate in international student exchange programs.

The foreign language preparatory education programs of Cappadocia University are under the responsibility of the School of Foreign Languages, where the aim is to develop listening, reading, writing and speaking skills to an academic level.

The level of completion of the English preparatory program is “independent user” (B1) level, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and the program is applied over three months. Foreign language service courses and advanced foreign language courses are also under the responsibility of the School of Foreign Languages, and the school also conducts vocation-oriented courses and runs exam preparation programs.
